Journey Highlights

Scene 1

The day may begin at the famous L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Market , among olives, goat cheeses, lavender and Provençal fabrics - a place where locals shop as carefully as they choose their wine.

Then comes the road through the villages of the Luberon: Gordes or Ménerbesand other hilltop villages where stone, light and landscape create the timeless image of Provence.

Perhaps lunch at a family-owned vineyard, where a chilled glass of rosé appears naturally on the table beneath the shade of plane trees.

By evening, an apéritif in the harbour of Cassis, before heading out towards the calanques as fishing boats return to shore and the light turns into that unmistakable Provençal gold people travel here to find.

Another Provence exists - the one that has inspired artists for generations.
